Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Leo von Lowenstein is an adorable 9 month old Malamute/Shepherd mix. Leo is very gentle and a lover. We first met Leo in a shelter when he was being left because he was” too nice”, his owner wanted an aggressive dog. Leo looked at our volunteer with such sadness and confusion. The volunteer went up and just took the leash from the owner. The staff at the shelter cheered for Leo and told the old owner that Leo was getting a much better home than the one he had! Leo is very dog friendly and fits right into any pack. He is quiet and low keyed, it is so relaxing just to stroll with him by your side. He is okay in the car, you just have to lift him in and then he looks out the window and seems to enjoy himself. He loved stopping for a cheese burger and takes food so gently, he is just a gentle loving soul, who ended up with a guy who didn’t appreciate this wonderful dog.
